Christmas Break Camp

The City of Gulf Shores provides quality youth programming through a plethora of activities, sports, and programs. 

Programs/Activities of Interest: 
SPARC Summer Camp 

SPARC Programs are designed for Strengthening Potential through Arts, Recreation and Culture by providing youth  a safe and supportive environment; fostering education, personal growth, character development and overall resiliency.  Staff members are devoted to carrying out the SPARC mission while delivering fun, hands-on experiences for the youth in our community. Mom's Time Out
SPARC MTO provides the youth in the community with a safe and supportive environment to foster education, personal growth, development and resiliency. This program is open to ages 1 and walking to 4 years of age (3-4 years must be potty-trained at time of registration). Click here for more information about SPARC MTO. 

Phone Calls from Santa

Experience a memorable moment this Christmas season! Beginning Thursday, Nov. 1, registration will open for Phone Calls from Santa. Celebrate the holiday season with a FREE personalized phone call from Santa! Register in person at the Bodenhamer Recreation Center or Cultural Center or click here to register online. 

Christmas Break Camp
Christmas Break Camp will be held on Wednesday, December 19 until Friday, December 28, closed December 17-18 and December 24-25. The cost for Bodenhamer Recreation members is $70, and the cost for non-members is $80. The cost includes a field trip to Wales West (Santa's Workshop) and Ice Skating at the Wharf. Registration will open Nov 12. Register in person at the Cultural Center or online here

The #GSwRECkclub is a teen recreation club open to youth in 6th through 8th grade. The cost is $75 to participate and includes a t-shirt and numerous monthly activities including a Halloween dance, bowling, ice skating, paintball, laser tag, Lulu's arcade, paddle boarding and much more! Youth may be picked up by the City bus from school. You may register in person at the Bodenhamer Recreation Center and Cultural Center or online here.

Gulf Shores Museum
The Gulf Shores Museum offers several educational programs and activities throughout the year including the History Rocks: Summer Reading Program and Winter Video Series. You and your family are invited to explore new and permanent exhibits as well as seasonal programs. Admission is free. Click here for more information. 

Thomas B. Norton Public Library
The Thomas B. Norton Public Library hosts many activities and programs for local youth throughout the year including the Summer Reading Program, Once Upon a Storytime, Glitter and Glue Craft Club, and much more! Click here for more information. 

Youth Sports
The City of Gulf Shores offers a variety of youth sports programs throughout the year, in addition to many sport-specific youth camps during the summer in conjunction with Gulf Shores High School. Click here for more information on youth sports.
