Pay Citations Online
Online Processing Limitation:
- It is your responsibility to ensure that payments are made in sufficient time to meet required deadlines. Your deadline for payment is the Court Arraignment date on your citation. If your citation is delinquent, you are responsible for any late fees, subpoena fees, warrant fees and collection fees associated with your citation.
- If your citation does not display, there may be some problem with accessing your citation or it may not be payable in advance of Court. You may refer to our Instructions to Defendant or you may contact the Municipal Court at 251-968-6780 (press 0 at recording).
- You have the legal right to contest this citation and have a trial before the court. By handling this citation by payment, you understand that you are pleading Guilty to this offense and waiving your rights to a trial. You understand that your plea of Guilty will have the same force and effect as a judgment of conviction by the Court and that a record of this conviction will be sent to the Driver's License Division of the Alabama Department of Public Safety (and then to the state in which you are currently licensed to drive, if outside of Alabama).
- To process your payment online you will need your Citation Number (including first letter) and last name, or your Driver's License Number and last name. To pay your citation online with a debit or credit card, there is a convenience fee that is charged by the credit card processor and does not go to the Municipal Court. To avoid this fee, you must pay in person with cash, money order or cashier's check; or mail a money order or cashier's check to the Municipal Court.
